Scholarships & Awards

Young ScholarZonta Club of Toledo I annually offers two different local scholarship opportunities to young women in the community who are preparing themselves to be leaders of tomorrow.

Young Women in Public Affairs Award

This program from Zonta International encourages young women to participate in public and political life by recognizing a young woman’s (age 16-19) commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to the advancement of the status of women. Applicants are asked to reflect upon their lives, their commitment to the communities in which they live, and the role models that have inspired them to become involved in their community or in a specific career. One high school senior is selected through a competitive application process to receive this $500 award which is presented at our Annual Installation Banquet in May.

Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

The Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship, established in 1998, is open to women pursuing an undergraduate degree in business leading to a business management career. Zonta Woman of Achievement Award

Members of Zonta Club of Toledo are expected to nominate women for our Woman of Achievement Award. This award is presented to local women who have made significant contributions of their time and talent to the Toledo Community through achievements that focus on Zonta International’s mission to advance the status of women through service or advocacy. There are many deserving women in our community, so start thinking of someone you can nominate.
